New Installation Sales Engineer, Elevator Industry – Doha, Qatar
Role Overview
The New Installation Sales Engineer is responsible for driving the sales and successful delivery of new elevator and escalator installation projects. This role covers the entire sales lifecycle—from prospecting and technical consultation to order finalization and project handover—ensuring tailored, cost-effective, and compliant solutions for clients. The position demands close collaboration with architects, consultants, developers, contractors, and internal teams to achieve technical precision, client satisfaction, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Client Engagement

Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory or market segment.

Develop and maintain a strong pipeline through networking, relationship-building, and targeted marketing for key vertical market segments.

Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the sales process, ensuring a high level of customer support before, during, and after project delivery.

Conduct presentations, traffic analysis, and site visits to understand requirements, recommend suitable solutions, and build client confidence.
Technical & Proposal Management

Review tender documents, prepare offers, proposals, and costing sheets.

Develop and present alternative solutions to meet unique installation or end-user requirements.

Prepare material submittals, shop drawings, technical queries, and ensure timely approvals.

Collaborate with engineering and design teams to develop compliant, technically sound, and innovative solutions that meet safety standards and aesthetic expectations.

Work with consultants during design phases, providing dimensioning, traffic analysis, and system recommendations.
Sales Process & Project Coordination

Participate in the full sales cycle: initial discovery, project review, design submission, order finalization, and transfer of order intake to the installation department.

Oversee seamless coordination between sales, technical, and installation teams to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality in project execution.

Manage technology evaluation stages, product demonstrations, and participation in industry forums, conferences, and related events.
Market Intelligence & Strategy

Monitor market developments, industry trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and potential risks.

Provide insights and recommendations to management for improving sales strategies and product offerings.
Compliance & Safety

Ensure all sales activities, proposals, and installations comply with company policies, IMS standards, HSE guidelines, and local legal requirements.
Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (mandatory).

Minimum 5 years’ sales experience in the elevator and escalator industry, with at least 3 years in a similar role.

Professional certifications are an added advantage.

Strong technical expertise in elevator systems, with proficiency in SAP, VIEW, and other relevant industry software.

Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).

Strong negotiation, presentation, and client engagement abilities.

Proven skills in problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making.

Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and client requirements effectively.
