Role Summary:
The Senior Backed/Database Engineer will be responsible of designing and developing databases. S/He will help in optimizing the performance of the organization’s database and storage capacity.

Position Location: Beirut, Lebanon
Business Industry: International Consulting Firm

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Implement strategies that provide optimized data storage to avoid data disconnection.
• Develop proposals for the integration of value-added software solutions.
• Advise on methods to enhance the performance & architecture of existing databases.
• Create procedures for database management on backup, archive and cleanup.
• Write testable codes using modern practices and technologies.
• Troubleshoot data analysis problems and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with Front-end developers and other team members to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Provide the needed procedures, scripts, queries that enable data capture by external tools.
• Understand different systems’ databases and advise on the best integration techniques to capture data from.
• Enhance the performance and stability of existing database programs.
• Review database and user reports, as well as system information .
• Document processes related to database design, configuration, and performance.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• 7-10 years of experience as a Backend Developer/Database Engineer.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personality Attributes:
• Strong Technical Skills in Programming languages like Python, JavaScript, .net language (C#, VB.Net, etc.) and JAVA.
• Knowledgeable in SQL, PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB or other Databases.
• Familiar of BI, REST, SOAP APIs
• Cloud IoT platforms like Microsoft Azure or Thingsboard are a plus
