Role Summary:
The Modernization Project Engineer/Coordinator will manage and control the site execution of Elevators MOD projects. S/He will coordinate with the Sales & Operations teams as well as customers to meet all contractual commitments.

Position Location: Dubai, UAE
Business Industry: Elevators, Escalators and Moving Walkways.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensure compliance to company safety policies/procedures in modernization activities.
• Train all sub contractors on safety policies and increase awareness among the team.
• Inspect and report all identified safety violations, incidents and accidents.
• Make sure all projects are completed safely, on time and within budget.
• Handle post-sale negotiations, price adjustments, scope changes and approvals etc.
• Liaise with factories to place order and manage claims.
• Control all the project management cycle and operations.
• Responsible for quality site installation and project execution.
• Negotiate with sub-contractors the scope, rates, purchase orders and bills.
• Prepare and organize contract related documents as per company quality requirements.
• Lead the multifunctional project team and manage their performance.
• Coordinate with other departments to follow up on resources for infrastructure, transportation and any other day to day operational requirements.
• Report regularly, using the company’s mobile devices and system.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical or Mechanical).
• Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in Elevator Industry.
• Professional certificate in project management i.e., PMP is a plus.
