The Market Analyst monitors & analyzes the environment of the national market (UAE) and external markets in which UAE operates through distributors. He supports the Top Management on economic evaluations, and collects and analyzes market data to drive growth and develop markets. The Market Analyst is responsible for the presentation of the company in sense of Marketing & Communication, both externally (magazines, publications, trade fairs) and internally (Newsletters, Intranet, global Communication initiatives, Employee Surveys). In addition, he/she supports the General Manager on specialized reporting duties, business development, and organizes and represents the company in client events, trade fairs, promotional activities and market research conferences.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all safety and compliance rules of the company
• Engage in the preparation and submission of quotations, customer follow-up on all proposals, orders management, invoicing process and after sales support
• Develop and maintain relationships with key customers in each territory
• Conduct high quality research and analysis of the UAE macro-economic trends, sectors and competition to substantiate strategic conclusions
• Identify new market opportunities and ensure the successful start-up and integration of the new business lines
• Manage and implement marketing & communication budget to drive growth
• Ensure all brand standards are maintained and properly utilized in marketing and communication efforts
• Responsible for internal communication such as: newsflash, company events, intranet
• Responsible for external communication such as: press releases, social media, marketing campaigns
• Attend and organize client events, trade fairs and exhibitions, promotional activities and market research conferences
• Preparation of presentations and special analysis for the company’s UAE board
• Ensure effective analysis to gauge customer’s brand loyalty
• Coordinate and lead on CSR team for team building events
• Effectively utilizing company business intelligence, CRM and other operational technical tools
• Overall support on specialized reporting duties and high priority projects

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher, preferably Business Administration/Finance/Economics
• 1-3 years in similar role; previous experience working in matrix structure
• Basic understanding of the principles of corporate design, communication & marketing
• Ability to develop effective client business relationships to lead regular meetings and calls with distributors
• Analyze market and industry trends to devise annual sales and business development growth strategies
• Good knowledge of the company’s products and its components is a plus
• Deep understanding for air and sea cargo transportation requirements and conditions
• Highest sense of quality and timeliness
• Able to work autonomously as well as with teams and peers
• Ability to multitask and prioritize activities across multiple deadlines
• Strong degree of autonomy and self-organization, and a high sense for quality and an eye for detail.
• Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio)
• Impeccable English (especially in writing), Arabic is a plus
