The Communication Officer will assist in developing, implementing and managing a range of online and offline communication strategies to increase the awareness of the company’s brand and products.

Position Location: Beirut, Lebanon

Reporting To: Marketing & Communication Manager

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the communication plan and branding objectives;
• Responsible for drafting and editing articles, press releases, human-related stories and other advocacy materials for both web-based and traditional media, as appropriate;
• Assist in the preparation of various internal and external communication and marketing materials (leaflets, brochures, email campaigns, marketing campaigns, newsletters, reports, website materials, factsheets, posters, etc.);
• Build a comprehensive media and content package around development projects in producing countries;
• Monitor and evaluate the use and effectiveness of media materials;
• Gather information from concerned parties for content creation purposes;
• Responsible for social media content creation and management (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.);
• Conduct market research and analysis to evaluate trends, brand awareness, and competition ventures;
• Maintain relationships with supplier, creative and digital agencies, and media to ensure collaboration in promotional activities;
• Review the content of the website and keep it active and up to date;
• Support the branding and visual identity of the company and related sister companies;
• Other related duties and projects as assigned by the manager.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor in Communication, Advertising or Marketing, Translation, English Literature, Journalism or any related field;
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a relevant field;
• Trilingual: Fluent in English and French;
• Excellent copywriting, copy-editing and proofreading skills;
• Experience producing reports, articles, newsletters, presentations, leaflets, press releases, and online content;
• Able to work with little guidance and produce engaging content out of limited information;
• Capable of using design tools: Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, and Adobe Illustrator software, etc);
• Familiar with online website content management systems;
• Well-versed in social media (Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn) and web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics);
• Proficient in MS Office (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel);
• Familiarity with marketing software (e.g. CRM, MailChimp) is a plus;
• Highly motivated, quick learner, self-starter, creative and innovative;
• Able to communicate and persuade customers, team members and other stakeholders from different backgrounds;
• Business-oriented, dependable and responsible in fulfilling obligations;
• Capable of setting clear processes, prioritize and plan tasks;
• High Confidentiality, dealing with sensitive, private and confidential matters;
• Meticulous and careful about details and thorough in completing work tasks;
